Wash & C are

CLOTH PADS & LINERS:

Regardless of the style of pad (All In One OR Pocket), washing is very similar…

NOTE FOR POCKET PADS: Remove all inserts. The pads wash & dry much easier if you take them apart

-For best results give the pads/inserts a rinse with cool water & use & store in a pail, container, or wet bag until you are ready to wash them (some people choose to soak them until they are washed, but this is not necessary).

-If you notice any staining, you can treat this immediately or before you wash. We suggest BUNCHA FARMERS STAIN REMOVER which is available in our store.

-Wash your pads by hand or in your washing machine using Cloth Diaper/Eco Friendly Soap

-For best results, line dry outside or with circulating air. Our pads can be tossed in the dryer if you prefer, but we suggest Low-Medium heat to avoid any damage to the pads or further shrinkage (although all fabrics have been prepped & pre-shrunk prior to construction).

-Note: if Hemp Inserts still feel damp this is because Hemp is 3-4x more absorbent than cotton. Line dry for a bit if needed.

-ON THE GO? Fold the ends of the pad towards the center & snap the wings together to contain soiled pads on the go! We also sell a variety of storage solutions for clean/soiled pads, diapers & nursing pads. PUL Pad Wrappers, Travel Wet Bags & Medium Wet Bags are available in many prints & colours. These products are great to use for travel or home storage.

-If you’re Mama Cloth becomes wrinkled (may happen with cotton flannel pads if you do not remove from the dryer immediately), feel free to iron it to give it that “Like New” look. Just be careful of the Velour/PUL pads which need to be ironed on a LOW setting. If you need to iron the Bamboo Velour side please be sure to iron your pad WITH the grain of the fabric not against it or press on the PUL side on low heat. Our Cotton Pads & inserts can be pressed at a higher heat. Some people choose to press & stuff all pads after use so they are all ready to go for your next cycle!

-Store in a Dry Container or clean wet bag until ready for use each month

-Cloth pads are fantastic for Cloth Diapering Mama’ssince no extra laundry is required just toss in the wash with your Cloth Diapers & Cloth Wipes!

DO NOT USE FABRIC SOFTENER ON CLOTH PADS, CLOTH DIAPERS, WIPES OR NURSING PADS!

Fabric Softener ruins the absorbency of fabric. Fabric softeners work by coating the surface of the cloth fibers with a thin layer of chemicals.  Not only is this something you do NOT want on your “Sensitive Areas” but it will ruin the absorbency of these items.

CLOTH PAD WING EXTENDERS:

To increase the longevity of your Cloth Pad Wing Extenders, avoid machine washing them. Please be sure to remove your extenders before tossing your cloth pads in the washer. Because of their position under the pad, it is unlikely that they will become soiled. If you do need to wash your Extenders, we suggest hand-washing them and air drying!

NURSING PADS:

-Machine wash cold or warm with your towels, cloth diapers, or Mama Cloth

-Machine Dry on Medium Heat or Lay Flat to dry for best results

-If over time your nursing pads get wrinkled from wash & wear feel free to iron them! Cotton Nursing pads are OK to press on Medium/High heat but it is best to use a curved surface or ironing ham to achieve that contoured shape & give your nursing pads that “new” look.

-Store in a dry container or bag until ready for use

-DO NOT USE FABRIC SOFTENER ON THIS ITEM (See notes above)

PAD WRAPPERS & WET BAGS:

-Machine wash with like colours or with your Cloth Diapers/Mama Cloth

-Dryer safe on Low or Medium heat. These items will only need about 10-15 mins in the dryer & dry quickly on a line as well.

-If you need to press any of your PUL items please take caution & use a Low setting. Be sure to ONLY press the right side of the fabric & NOT the waterproof backing of the fabric (this will melt and warp on your iron surface if applied to heat).

BABY WIPES * PAPERLESS KITCHEN ROLLS * FAMILY CLOTH BATHROOM ROLLS:

-Machine wash Cool/Warm (Bathroom rolls can be washed with Mama Cloth, Cloth Diapers or Wipes)

-Line Dry or Machine Dry Low to Medium heat

-Press if needed on the FLANNEL side. Make sure you don't iron near the snaps or they will melt!

-DO NOT USE FABRIC SOFTENER ON THIS ITEM (See notes above)

REUSABLE COSMETIC PADS:

-Machine wash on Cool/Warm with your Mama Cloth, Cloth Diapers, Wipes or Towels

-Tumble Dry Low or Medium

- Do not iron the Organic Bamboo Velour side of these pads unless you are ironing WITH the grain of the fabric. For best results iron the printed flannel side ONLY.

-Do NOT use fabric softener. Fabric softeners ruin the absorbency in fabrics.

BABY CARRIER TEETHING STRAP COVERS:

-Machine wash on Cool/Warm with like colours Eco friendly soap
-Tumble dry Low/Medium. Hemp is 3-4x more absorbent than cotton. If still damp after being in the dryer hang to dry with a light fan on nearby or outdoors.

CLOTH HANKIES:
-Machine Wash Warm with Towels/Like Colours using an Eco Friendly Detergent
-Tumble Dry Medium
-DO NOT USE FABRIC SOFTENER (see above).

BANDANNA BIBS:
-Machine Wash Warm/Cold with Like Colours
-Tumble Dry Low
-Press if needed (but be sure to not touch the kam snaps with the hot iron)
